 Francois Lake is located on the Nechako Plateau 21 kms south of the town of Burns Lake. This property is located in the “Southside Area” south of Francois Lake between Francois Lake and Ootsa Lake. Ootsa lake is an approximately 230 km long lake system and is the access point to North Tweedsmuir Park. Excellent fishing, hunting and outdoor lifestyle area.

 Francois lake is 110 km long, making it the second longest natural lake entirely within British Columbia and depths of up to 1,000 ft have been recorded. Nadina River is the inflow of the lake at the west and Stellako River is the outflow of the lake.

 There is a free inland highways system vehicle ferry that crosses the lake connecting the Burns Lake side of the lake with Southbank on the opposite side of the lake. Directions

Just 35 minutes from the free Francois lake ferry on the Southside of Francois Lake.

The Morning ferry schedule is 8:25, 9:15, 10:05, and after this at every full hour, starting at 11:00 am, noon,  1:00 pm and so on!

Take the Francois Lake ferry. When you get off , go straight up the hill to Grassy Plains. Turn right onto Tatalrose Road. Go  for 13 kilometres to Bickle Road West. Here turn left. 2 kilometres up Bickle road swing right up a hill onto the Verdun Bishop Forest Service Road. After 3 1/2 kilometres you reach a driveway on right.
