History:

Let me entertain you with a fascinating tale of how Escott Bat Resort came to be! It all began in the early 1960s with Ed and Flo Escott,  when a humble campground with a few charmingly rustic cabins sprang up. And thus, the name "Escott Bay Resort" was born.

But that's not where the story ends. In 1982, a new owner took over and had grand plans for the property. With a visionary spirit, this owner transformed the resort into the thriving business that it is today. From those humble beginnings, Escott Bat Resort has evolved into an exceptional destination for all those seeking relaxation and adventure in equal measure.

So come and experience the magic of Escott Bat Resort for yourself! You'll be captivated by the rich history and modern amenities that make it a truly unforgettable place to visit.

Area

Anahim Lake is located in the Chilcotin District of the western Central Interior of BC, on Highway 20 between Williams Lake and Bella Coola. The Chilcotin District is mostly a wide, high plateau, stretching from the mountains to the Fraser River, but also includes several fjord-like lakes which verge from the plateau into the base of the mountains.

Recreation

Anahim Lake in summer offers incredible rainbow trout fishing, canoeing, rowing and boating. Hiking, paddling, picnicking, and horseback riding are enjoyed by residents and guests alike in the area.

Winter at Escott Bay Resort and the Chilcotin means fun. There are miles of groomed cross-country ski trails and for the snowmobilers, there are miles of exploring and riding available in the surrounding mountains. Bring your machine and enjoy snowmobiling at its finest. In winter, Anahim Lake offers skating, skiing, snowshoeing, ice fishing, and much more.

Investment

The main streams of revenue for the resort are accommodations, with a large variety of accommodation types, including serviced campsites. Private cottages and cabins, and a larger lodge are rented nightly to guests as well. On top of accommodations, this opportunity includes fully equipped rentals of boats and a variety of recreation equipment such as boats, motors and snowmobiles. Guided horseback riding and guided fishing excursions also contribute to the revenue of this resort.
