New World Coffee and Tea House is the Number One Barista Restaurant in the Cariboo.
Here is how the current owner describes the business:
Opened in 2009, the beautiful New World was born of an idea to provide a fun, unique restaurant that serves not only great food and beverages, but to also be environmentally responsible while doing it. We pride ourselves on the "real food" menu and the BC artisan roasted organic coffee and over 50 teas from around the world. We do our best to make sure that our customers come first. Our daily menu includes the freshest ingredients, including on-site roasted turkey, freshly poached chicken breast, and a delightful selection of wraps, sandwiches, soups , desserts and much more. The restaurant is also fully licensed and has one of the best selections of BC Craft Beers in town in addition to a good selection of wines and spirits to accompany our customers dining experience. The building which is considered iconic in the community, has a great history. It was built in the early days of Williams Lake and has been extensively renovated to accommodate the café which it now contains. The décor is marvellous, well thought out and receives many customer compliments. The business currently employs seven permanent staff and is managed by the owner. The café has become the “in” place for the community. It’s demographic includes an extremely broad range of clientele from business people, government workers, students, construction workers, police officers and many travellers. It’s on-line reviews have remained excellent throughout the years and has remained at or near the top of Trip Advisor. From a financial perspective this business has continued to show positive growth year after year and has a great opportunity for further expansion if a new owner was willing to increase the catering or evening experiences. The building which is over 2000 square feet includes a front end service area with over 50 seats, a kitchen suitable for the fresh menu and a rear area which includes storage and an extra prep station. Parking is available in the rear of the building with three spots and a leased parking spot across the alley for $150 per year. The sale of this building will include up to three months of hands on training by the owner and executive chef, if requested. Current employees will remain with the business if required. This business is a wonderful choice for a family run operation and gives a good return on the investment. If you love the food/restaurant industry this business is a great turnkey operation with an extraordinarily solid customer base, room for growth and a community which is welcoming and fun.
